Project description

Aged seal with significant to moderate cracking throughout, as well as some minor to moderate deformation and unevenness. There are some old existing patch repairs that are also starting crack up again. There appears to be significant ponding at the head of the cul-de-sac.

Complete kerb and channel replacements (50m). Then undertake full width Mill and Replace. Some corrector course has been allowed for due to some unevenness in the existing surface. On completion ensure reinstatement of all fire hydrant and sluice valve markers as well as all line marking.

The Gardens Road (Alice Springs Rural Road) - 059887-15NT-RTR

The Gardens Road services the pastoral, tourism, mining and indigenous community industries. The nearby Alice Springs to Darwin road rail crossing is currently being upgraded to 2 lane 7m wide seal, finishing at the existing narrow non-standard, single lane grid. The upgrade of the grid and drainage is a safety issue.It is proposed to raise the grid to allow drainage to occur, widen the grid to standard 9.6 metre width, raise the road approaches and build fence on both sides of the grid for traffic safety.
