Project description

Brockman Street bitumen seal has numerous longitudinal and crocodile cracking. kerbs are in an extremely poor condition with multipul cracks and defects. footpath is not suitable for purpose as it has a very poor and uneven surface condition and not wide enough for duel use purposes.

Remove footpath and kerbs. Profile existing seal. Reinstate kerbs and install dual use footpath. reseal along Brockman Street with asphalt from straight line kilometre 0.490 to Straight line kilometre 0.770

The Gardens Road (Alice Springs Rural Road) - 059887-15NT-RTR

The Gardens Road services the pastoral, tourism, mining and indigenous community industries. The nearby Alice Springs to Darwin road rail crossing is currently being upgraded to 2 lane 7m wide seal, finishing at the existing narrow non-standard, single lane grid. The upgrade of the grid and drainage is a safety issue.It is proposed to raise the grid to allow drainage to occur, widen the grid to standard 9.6 metre width, raise the road approaches and build fence on both sides of the grid for traffic safety.
