The Princes Highway is a major route along the east coast of Australia, extending from New South Wales through Victoria and into South Australia. It is an important corridor supporting local communities, as well as tourism, agricultural, energy and timber industries.
The project is expected to deliver a range of road upgrades along the Princes Highway Corridor in NSW and support the implementation of the Princes Highway Corridor Strategy. The upgrades are expected to improve safety, reliability, freight efficiency and support local industry and tourism along the route.
The Australian Government funding for the Corridor is $1.25 billion. This includes:
- Milton Ulladulla Bypass - $752 million
- Jervis Bay Road to Hawken Road upgrade - $400 million
- Jervis Bay Intersection upgrade - $100 million
The NSW Government funding contribution to the Corridor is $364.8 million
The first project on this Corridor is expected to commence construction late 2023.
