Project description
This project will deliver targeted upgrades of the Tasman Bridge over the Derwent River to strengthen the bridge, and enhance traffic flow efficiency and road user safety. The 1.4 kilometre long Tasman Bridge is one of the most critical sections of road in Tasmania, and carries the highest volume of any road section with approximately 70,000 vehicles per day. Forming part of the key urban freight and passenger corridor in Hobart, the Tasman Bridge provides a vital link between the eastern and western suburbs of the city.Benefits
