Project description

This project upgraded Narre Warren North Road between Fox Road and Belgrave-Hallam Road in Narre Warren North. 

Upgrades included:

  • an additional lane in each direction 
  • upgrades to the Heatherton Road and Ernst Wanke Road intersections 
  • investigating new safety treatments for the Memorial Drive and Crawley Road intersections

Benefits

  • Improved road safety for all road users 
  • Reduced congestion and improve travel times

Funding

The Australian Government committed $31 million towards the project.

Timetable

The project commenced construction in October 2021 and was completed in May 2023.
