Project description

This project will upgrade the intersection of Currumbin Creek Road and Bienvenue Drive in Currumbin Waters. Works are expected to include lengthening of turning lanes, provision of an additional departure through lane on Currumbin Creek Road northbound, conversion of the westbound through lane on Bienvenue Drive to a shared through/right lane and upgrades for active transport users.

The Gardens Road (Alice Springs Rural Road) - 059887-15NT-RTR

The Gardens Road services the pastoral, tourism, mining and indigenous community industries. The nearby Alice Springs to Darwin road rail crossing is currently being upgraded to 2 lane 7m wide seal, finishing at the existing narrow non-standard, single lane grid. The upgrade of the grid and drainage is a safety issue.It is proposed to raise the grid to allow drainage to occur, widen the grid to standard 9.6 metre width, raise the road approaches and build fence on both sides of the grid for traffic safety.
