Project description

Failures present on this road include longitudinal cracking, crocodile cracking, rutting and some heaving of the pavement. Pavement rehabilitation is required in order to provide an expected level of service and minimize reactive maintenance.

Pre construction works include service; service locating and geotechnical testing (borelogs, particle distribution, CBR and UCS). Construction works include; removal of existing asphalt wearing course, slag/cement stabilization of the existing pavement base to a depth of 320mm and a minimum design modulus of 3500MPa and new 50mm AC10 wearing course.
