Project description

The road is subjected to flooding due to shallow creeks and low lying floodways during wet weather, and sand hills during dry weather make the road nearly impassable as bogging is frequent. The road is used as a link between Cobar and the Kidman Way and has mine traffic on it frequently. The mine traffic is pedominantley workers travelling to site from Cobar and Hillston.

The proposed works include rebuilding table drains and lifting the road in certain sections. The sand hills will be capped with a gravel layer to provide stability for motorists.
