Project description

The project will widen the intersection at the Gregory and Capricorn Highways, to include additional turning lanes
 

Benefits

The project will provide greater access for high productivity freight vehicles to navigate the intersection in a safer environment, and enhance regional connectivity through effective freight movements.

Funding

In partnership with the Queensland Government, the Australian Government has committed up to $11.94 million towards the project. 

Timetable

The project is expected to commence construction in mid 2026 and be completed in mid 2027.
