Project description

Installation of a missing section of dual use path along Foxwell Road between Learning Street and Oakey Creek Road, Coomera. This section of Foxwell Road provides access to the Foxwell State Secondary College which opened its doors to students in 2020, and a shopping centre located on the south-eastern side of Foxwell Road / Oakey Creek Road intersection. Coomera has long been earmarked as a high growth suburb that is currently experiencing population growth of over 10%.

Works include construction of a 2.0m wide shared dual use path along the northern side of Foxwell Road in Coomera (length approx. 510m). The new path will connect to the existing path approximately 50m east of the intersection of Oakey Creek Road and Foxwell Road and to the existing path approximately 60m west of the intersection of Learning Street and Foxwell Road. Lighting is to be installed to the same standard of lighting which exists along Foxwell Road to the east and west of the project site.
