Project description

This road asset has come to the end of its useful life and is suffering significant pavement failures contributing to the creation of traffic safety issues. As a collector road for the Craigmore/ Elizabeth Park area as well as being a bus route and in close proximity to a major regional shopping centre, this road sees significant traffic volumes and is rapidly deteriorating. The current condition of the road is such that maintenance treatments are no longer sufficient to allow for vehicle safety and as such a complete renewal is required.

The proposed treatment method for this road is a complete pavement replacement utilising a deep lift asphalt pavement in order to reset the useful life of the asset. Due to the busy nature of the road this work will need to be undertake at night.
