Project description

This section of road has limited sub-base and has worn down to a sandy sub-grade with some protruding natural rock along several areas of this length of the road. Works are to continue on from last year to finalise the rehabilitation of this road and address thrapid deterioration of the road pavement which has impacted safe driving conditions and dramatically increased maintenance costs. This is a school bus route and a heavy haulage route.

Gravel re-sheeting of this section of road with 300mm of gravel compacted to 200mm.
