Project description

Mulga Park Road is a well used road for the cattle transport and tourism industries and has a high proportion of indigenous communities traffic. A significant volume of traffic is triple road trains for cattle haulage, community stores and mining exploration.The road section traverses winding sand dune and rocky hill country, with numerous creek crossings and worn formation. It also has lost gravel and exposed to natural surface. In wet weather, water ponding closes the road for short to medium periods. The road has been the subject of numerous near misses and accidents.
