Project description

This planning project will involve scoping of the duplication and realignment of approximately eight kilometres of the Bruxner Highway between Wollongbar and Goonellabah in Northern NSW.

Benefits

The project, when constructed, is expected to:- improve road safety by delivering improved road geometry and wider cross sections that will reduce crash risks;- facilitate freight movements by providing a safe alignment for use by PBS 2B vehicles;- increase traffic efficiency by improving the highway alignment and increasing capacity.

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $6.8 million to this project.
