Project description

Narrow road formation, steep batters, Poor gravel surface and drainage which is causing pavement failures and unsafe road conditions

Widen the formation, improve and upgrade drainage, improve pavement strength and provide a sealed surface. project is to be staged. This is stage 1 Further Drainage improvements and alignment adjustments will be undertaken as part of stage 2 to meet the overall objectives of this project which has resulted in an increase cost to the project. Upon completion of works there will be a short section of unsealed road remaining towards the south and any remaining funding will allow construction crews to continue working beyond chainage 10.07 with the long term strategy to seal the remaining unsealed section of this Road.

Total cost of proposed project is $5,000,000
