Project description

This project will upgrade the intersection of Beenleigh Connection Road and City Road in Beenleigh to accommodate increased traffic flow through the intersection. This intersection currently experiences high levels of congestion and excessive queuing. Due to its proximity to the M1 Pacific Motorway (Exit 34), the intersection upgrade will improve the efficiency of the Exit 34 interchange, provide safer access for community and business, and improve freight movement reliability.

Benefits

Reduced congestion and improved travel times. Improved network efficiency and reliability. Improved road safety for all users.

Funding

The Australian Government has increased its funding commitment from $7 million to $15 million towards the project.

Timetable

The delivery schedule will be determined in consultation with the Queensland Government.
