Project description
This project upgrades the Cloncurry – Dajarra Road at Malbon Creek and includes the replacement of an existing culvert and the upgrade of structures and approaches on the floodway.
The Cloncurry - Dajarra Road is a vital transport link for the movement of cattle and mining supplies through Queensland’s North-West region and is also important for fuel, food and freight. Benefits
Improved road safety for all road users, improved efficiency and network reliability and improved freight productivity.
Funding
Total funding of $7.5 million (Australian Government commitment $6 million, Queensland Government contribution $1.5 million).
Timetable
This project is expected to commence construction in mid 2023 and be completed by mid 2025.
