Project description

The project will deliver targeted safety upgrades along the Brisbane Valley Highway under the South East Queensland City Deal, supporting the major freight corridor between Somerset and greater South East Queensland. The safety upgrades will help to reduce road injuries and fatalities along one of the region's major highways.

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $20 million towards this project.

Timetable

Construction is expected to begin in mid 2026 and be completed in late 2028.
