Project description
To address the structural integrity of the road pavement due to soil movement from very reactive soil. This road has a severe environmental deformation and cracking with moderate load induce cracking. Surface texture has a severe defect. Council's Pavement Management System has indicated that this road is warranted for total road reconstruction.The work will involve a full road reconstruction by total excavation of road base and replacement with a deeper granular pavement to ensure the structure and integrity of the road from possible future soil movement. The works include replacing existing kerbs, driveway, traffic control and improving the drainage system. The road pavement being treated is 74m in length and 7.2m in width.
