Project description

Delamination of road surface. Poor pedestrian connectivity and high vehicle speeds Poor delineation (wide lanes) encouraging high speeds

The work proposed includes widening and reconstructing the 0.8km section of Regency Road with a pavement that is suitable for long term heavy vehicle loading of adequate width for the inclusion of safe travel for buses adjacent parked cars. The overall carriageway width will be increased by 300mm and travel lanes will be delineated from parking areas. The pavement will be refreshed and surfaced with a thicker asphalt layer to accommodate increasing traffic demands. The remaining council requested funding is being part funded from the FA Grants - Identified local Roads (Special Local Roads Program)
