Project description

This project will widen the Bruce Highway from six to eight lanes between Anzac Avenue and Uhlmann Road.

Benefits

The Project will improve road safety for all road users, reduce congestion and improve connectivity between people with jobs and services, and goods with markets.

Funding

The total Project cost is $733 million, the Australian Government has committed $586.4 million and the Queensland Government has committed $146.6 million.

Timetable

A business case for the project commenced in February 2023 and is expected to be completed in late 2025. The Australian Government is working confirm timeframes for the project with the Queensland Government.
