Project description

Doak Avenue is a rural road which, according to Council records, was constructed circa 1977. Due to the age of the asset and the above average precipitation experienced in the Penrith LGA the past few years the road has started to deteriorate and fail in a few areas. Pavement defects such as cracking, depression, edge deterioration / edge breaks and potholing are prevalent on site.

Council has received geotechnical recommendations for pavement remediation from a reputable expert. Below is a list of the works proposed to 623m length of road by 5.8m wide: • Two coat seal • 200mm lightly bound cemented base • 200mm lime stabilised subgrade
