Project description

Unsealed gravel road which gets really boggy every year during the wet season, creating unsafe access for local residents and visitors. Moreover, the existing drainage crossings and structures are in poor condition and need replacement for safe access.

Completion of survey and design including relevant permits, replacement and upgrade of the drainage crossings structures, construction of road pavement and bitumen sealing. The project has received $689,500 from Reef Guardian funding, $160,000 from Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program and $139,453 from Transport Infrastructure Development Scheme (TIDS, in FY2025/26).
