Project description

Existing intersection is not suited for the current traffic movements. There is no acceleration lane for left turn out of McAuleys Lane. There is a deceleration lane however it does not meet the required standards so needs modifications. Mullumbimby Road is a narrow road with narrow/no shoulders. There is a lack of road feature signage and directional guide signage at the intersection. The line marking is also minimal.

Install left turn deacceleration lane for Mullumbimby Road. Improve pavement to high level non-skid surface. Line marking and guideposts. Jointly funded by Roads to Recovery $92,900, Transport for NSW $292,883 and Council $234,300.

Total cost of proposed project is $620,083
