Project description

White Road provides an east west connection for farmers moving machinery and is a route used for transporting grain at harvest, currently at SLK 7.41 there is a narrow cutting with poor visibility that is dangerous to oncoming traffic. Widening and improving surface rideability and drainage will provide a suitable and safe linkage for all road users.

Excavate the current narrow cutting out to a width of 10 metres, this will require the use of an excavator and rock breaker due to the natural material being large ironstone formation. We will then reform the subgrade and then gravel re-sheet to a thickness of 100 mm with imported material to give a running surface of 8 metres and an overall width of 10 metres.
