Project description

Bogan Road is a collector road, which is extensively used by heavy vehicles. Due to the increasing number of heavy vehicles using the intersection Taweni Road and Bogan Road, a channelised right hand turn will be installed to improve safety on the intersection. The substandard bends in the additional section will be realigned to allow for a safety improvement. The works will include the upgrade of three causeways at different locations on Bogan Road, which gets damaged in heavy rain.

The scope of works are for the extension of seal for 4 km including horizontal and vertical alignment improvements, upgrade of 3 causeways to improve freight efficiency and HML access and resheet 16 km unsealed road to improve drainage, horizontal and vertical alignment and pavement profile. The project is co-funded by Transport for New South Wales, Local Council - Spec Purp Grants (R&OM).

Total cost of proposed project is $2,348,256
