Project description

Rosemont Lane was converted to a public laneway in the last few years. It is currently unsealed (rubble surface). Sealing the laneway will formalise the roadway and reduce the risk of tyre damage, as well as reduce the flooding risk for nearby dwellings.

Lay asphalt for the north-south section of the laneway, as per standard Council roads. Lay permeable brick pavers for the east-west section, primarily to minimise the damage to several significant trees located just off the laneway. Install stormwater drainage infrastructure (including pump tank and rising main) to ensure optimal stormwater management within the laneway. It is proposed that entire 2024-2025 allocation of City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters of $470,990 be used for this project, with the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters funding the balance of the total project cost.

Total cost of proposed project is $579,327
