Project description

The intersection of Old Bangor Road and Dalrymple road exhibits substandard alignment (in both directions). Currently does not meet the AustRoads requirements. Narrow carriageway, poor pavement, poor visibility and deficient junction alignment with previously funded works.

Proposed works for this section of Old Bangor Road is to include reconstruction, widening and realignment of intersection with Dalrymple Road. Includes delineation, widening and resealing of approx 0.50 km of Old Bangor Road and Industry Road (in both Directions). This will improve safety and intersection realignment. This project is co-funded between George Town Council ($420,000) and R2R Program ($238,772).

Total cost of proposed project is $658,772
