Project description

Heavily trafficked by road trains to access the Co-operative Bulk Handling (CBH) grain receival bulkheads at the east end of Fitzgerald Road, which is causing extreme corrugation in the gravel road with very frequent occurrence during the harvest period.

The entire length of the gravel road will be ripped and reconstructed to prepare for a new two-coat bitumen seal using 7 mm and 14 mm aggregate. Guideposts will be placed/replaced along the entire length of the road. Additional asphalting of intersections at SLK 0.41 (intersection with CBH access) and SLK 9.76 (intersection with Long Creek Road).
