Project description

Saxa Road has a few sections in poor condition including this area of approximately 1.13 km of road to the south of Campbell's Lane. The pavement depth is not adequate for current traffic volumes and heavy transport use, and it is prone to failure and road closure during extended wet periods.

Strengthening and widening of the existing pavement by way of a 250 mm granular overlay including in situ stabilisation to a depth of 200 mm and sealing. The secondary funding source is the Regional Emergency Road Repair Funding (RERRF) program.

Total cost of proposed project is $900,000
