Further it services pedestrian and bike users accessing the School and Hospital facility in Marquis St. It will improve safety for users not having to use the grass road or verge.

Kerb and gutter works associated with the installation. Kerb ramps at various road crossing points and the installation of a new concrete 2.5 m shared use pathway on the existing nature strip. Council has a submission for the Australian Government Active Transport Fund that would co-contribute the remaining $116,538 for this project.
