Project description

Long standing stormwater ponding issues as there is inadequate underground drainage system. Kerb and gutters are cracked, crushed, lifted or misaligned. The bitumen seal has deteriorated resulting in potholing, cracking and depressions which has created a safety risk for road users.

Upgrade and extend underground stormwater drainage system, renew kerb and gutter and reseal car parking lanes. State Government’s Department of Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) will undertake deep patching and resealing road traffic lanes. This is a jointly funded project using RTR funds and the own funds of the Town of Gawler.

Total cost of proposed project is $995,000
