Project description

Identified structural failures and aged assets requiring replacement to current engineering standards. Culvert capacity needs to be increased.

Replacement of culverts at 8 different sites along Floraville Road using reinforced concrete box culverts to increase capacity and renew assets to current engineering standards. Jointly funded by North Queensland Resilience Program - Stream 2.

Total cost of proposed project is $3,900,936

The Gardens Road (Alice Springs Rural Road) - 059887-15NT-RTR

The Gardens Road services the pastoral, tourism, mining and indigenous community industries. The nearby Alice Springs to Darwin road rail crossing is currently being upgraded to 2 lane 7m wide seal, finishing at the existing narrow non-standard, single lane grid. The upgrade of the grid and drainage is a safety issue.It is proposed to raise the grid to allow drainage to occur, widen the grid to standard 9.6 metre width, raise the road approaches and build fence on both sides of the grid for traffic safety.
