Project description

The Cavendish Road, Holdsworth Street and Kitchener Street intersection has been identified as a location requiring an upgrade to reduce existing crash risks, improve traffic flow efficiency for all road users, reduce congestion, and enhance safety and accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists. There has been a significant number of crashes from vehicles from Holdsworth Street attempting to turn right into Cavendish Road and continue through into Kitchener Street.

The project will upgrade the intersection by closing the Kitchener Street access to and from Cavendish Road. Source of additional funding is Brisbane City Council.

Total cost of proposed project is $3,250,000
