Project description

Nain Road in the Greenock locality serves as a rural access road supporting several primary production properties, as well as providing access to the Nain Lutheran Church and cemetery. While not a major freight route, it forms part of the local rural road network essential for property access and community use. The road has reached the end of its useful life, with visible signs of surface wear, edge deterioration, and inadequate drainage. Maintenance efforts are becoming more frequent and less effective in addressing the underlying issues.

Road will be re-sheeted and constructed using a suitable quarry material that will provide a higher level of rideability and decreases maintenance intervals. The source of additional funding will be Councils own funds.

Total cost of proposed project is $152,901
