Project description

New SA DIT duplication works on Main South Rd has removed the opportunity for vehicles to turn right out of Bakewell Drive to head northwards, requiring northbound vehicles to exit via Ostrich Farm Road. Significant investment will be required to upgrade Ostrich Farm Road to be able to accommodate large heavy vehicles, up to 30 m A-double road trains, associated with the development of SRWRA site.

Full reconstruction of Bakewell Drive and Ostrich Farm Road, including road geometry upgrades, widening and larger turning lanes to accommodate 26 m and larger heavy vehicles.
