Project description

Arrawarra Beach Road, Arrawarra is classed as an urban, low traffic road, which provides the only access to the residential area of Arrawarra Beach. The road seal is in poor condition due to age, and there are indications that the pavement is failing due to the presence of shoves and depressions. The roadside drainage is very poor, with existing table drains silted up, and existing culverts on connecting driveways and under the road being of an inadequate capacity. The road height is also very low in comparison to the surrounding landscape, which results in parts of this road being inundated with storm/flood water.

Survey and geotechnical investigations and civil design of an appropriate drainage system, an appropriate road pavement and a spray seal. Construction works will include table drains reinstatement, installation of new and/or replacement culverts, and approximately 4,332 m2 of new/stabilised road pavement with a spray seal wearing course. The additional funding for this project will be sourced from The City of Coffs Harbour's Capital Works Program to compliment the RTR funding.

Total cost of proposed project is $662,870
