Project description

Whyenbah Road is one of Council’s heavily utilised roads, providing a key connection between St George and Dirranbandi. As the road is predominantly gravel and unsealed, its high usage leads to accelerated deterioration, resulting in significant ongoing maintenance costs for Council’s operating budget. Upgrading and sealing additional sections of the road will significantly improve safety for all users by reducing deterioration and the associated hazards. This will not only create a safer and more reliable network but will also reduce the ongoing maintenance burden on Council, enabling resources to be redirected toward improving other roads within the network.

Bitumen sealing of unsealed section. This project is jointly funded by Dept of Transport & Main Roads TIDS funding.

Total cost of proposed project is $675,000
