Project description

Noondoo-Mungindi Road is identified as one of Council's Local Road of Regional Significance, providing a key connection between Dirranbandi and Mungindi. As the road is predominantly unsealed, it is subject to accelerated deterioration, resulting in significant ongoing maintenance costs for Council's operating budget. While this section was resheeted in the last financial year, bitumen sealing is now a strategic next step to preserve and maintain the pavement effectively. Completing these upgrades will significantly improve safety by reducing deterioration and associated hazards, providing a safer and more reliable network for all road users. Additionally, reducing the maintenance burden on this section will enable Council to redirect resources toward improving other roads within the network.
