Project description

Section of the road is in poor condition with crocodile cracks, rutting and high roughness causing safety concerns to road users. Council have received requests to improve the road and detailed investigation confirmed that pavement structure requires significant improvement to meet the level of services for the community. The project entails reconstructing the pavement structure between Hunter Avenue and Kelvin Road. Works will involve excavating 150 mm of the existing pavement and reconstructing it with a 100 mm base layer of AC20 asphalt concrete, topped with a 50 mm AC14 asphalt wearing course. The scope also includes kerb and gutter replacement to protect the road pavement, along with the reinstatement of existing line markings and signage. Balance to be funded by Council.
