Recent assessments have indicated significant deterioation of the gravel materials, which has resulted in exceptionally low levels. This degredation is contributing to the slippage on the road surface creating a hazardous enviroment for vehicles.

Reshaping and resheeting the 3000 metre long roadway that is 10 metres wide. The work will involve the application of a 150 mm depth of gravel to enhance the roadways structual integritty and safety.
