Project description

McCulloch Street, situated on the northern side of Broken Hill, is a local street that requires urgent attention. The stretch of road from Lane Street to Wolfram Street has significantly deteriorated, with the pavement surface heavily damaged and the kerb and gutter at the same level as the concrete ages. To restore the road to its original shape and design, it is recommended to replace the current pavement layers with new road base layers (Three layers) and seal the pavement with Asphalt AC14 C320 Binder as the wearing course.

To replace the current pavement layers with new road base layers (3 x 150mm, 160mm & 150mm thick DGB20, DGS20 & DGS20)) and provide Asphalt AC14 C320 Binder wearing course to restore the road surface to its original condition. To replace the kerb and gutter to prevent flooding to residents. The project is jointly funded $496,930 from RTR and $684,537 from Broken Hill City Council.

Total cost of proposed project is $1,181,367
