Project description

The proposed reconstruction and rehabilitation works will address the ongoing pavement issues by stabilising and strengthening the existing road structure to prevent further deterioration. This includes repairing and reconstructing areas affected by potholing, cracking, and localised failures to restore a durable and even surface. The stabilisation process will improve the underlying pavement strength, reduce the likelihood of future blowouts, and provide a long-term solution to recurring failures. As a result, traffic hazards associated with uneven surfaces and road damage will be eliminated, improving overall road safety and driving conditions for all users.

The section of road is to be treated using cement stabilisation followed by a full two-coat bitumen reseal to improve structural strength and surface durability.
