Project description

The sealed pavement has developed defects such as potholes, cracking, rutting, or surface breakup and sealed wearing course has reached its end of useful life. These defects are causing safety risks (vehicle damage, water ingress). Provide a new high polymer SAM seal to renew the sealed wearing course and continue to protect the road pavement including; Removal and disposal of 100 mm existing pavement material required to allow for expansion of pavement due to stabilisation. The sub-base material in-situ stabilised to a depth of 200 mm with 5% cement and 3% lime (300 mm from previous surface level) and compacted to 98% modified compaction. A new 100 mm layer of Class 2 20 mm Crushed Rock placed and compacted to 98% modified compaction. Reinstate road surface asphalt/spray seal.
