Project description

Oak Street, Andergrove Problem being addressed - The project will address ongoing surface and pavement failures attributed to pavement subbase infiltration at displaced joints (~80% of joints), redundant roof stormwater connections left open and failed lifting hole plugs made from clay in an area with high water tables. Work Proposed - The project will provide rehabilitation to the existing underground Reinforced Concrete Box Culverts through injection of Hydrophilic Polymer Resin (reacts to water) at the multiple infiltration points, filling small to medium cavities while providing a long-term, semi-rigid, load bearing seal at the infiltration point. This minimises further displacements and supports future kerb and channel / footpath / pavement rehabilitation projects.
