Project description

Bowral Street, Bowral from Sheffield Rd to 360 m East in front of the Bowral Hospital is in poor condition. This section contains severe pavement defects that include shoving, crocodile cracks, rutting, ravelling, linear cracks and surface deformations. The road surface has significantly deteriorated. Council has undertaken a visual condition assessment recently. The scope of works contains the following works: a. Geotech investigation completed which determined the soil profile and CBR values at different levels. b. Further to the CCTV undertaken in December 2025, the drainage line at the St Jude street intersection needs to be replaced. c. Pavement design is required and has been completed. d. 130mm deep AC14 EME2 Structural Layer on 4032 m². e. 50mm AC14 AR450 Wearing Course on 4032 m². f. Dispose the RAP materials to maintain Stone Quarry Creek Road – Greenhills Road to Rockleigh Rd; and Rockleigh Rd – Werai Rd to Stone Quarry Creek Road. g. Reinstate line marking.
