Project description

Stony Pt Road is a rural road that takes significant amounts of Farming traffic, and direct connection to Township of Murrami. The road is alongside the Main Murrumbidgee Irrigation Canal, and over years has degraded due to Heavy Vehicle Traffic, and Water ingress with Poor roadside drainage. Road is proposed for a Full pavement rehabilitation and widening to current engineering standards, with reshaping of roadside table drains, and finished off with Bitumen Sealing.

The Gardens Road (Alice Springs Rural Road) - 059887-15NT-RTR

The Gardens Road services the pastoral, tourism, mining and indigenous community industries. The nearby Alice Springs to Darwin road rail crossing is currently being upgraded to 2 lane 7m wide seal, finishing at the existing narrow non-standard, single lane grid. The upgrade of the grid and drainage is a safety issue.It is proposed to raise the grid to allow drainage to occur, widen the grid to standard 9.6 metre width, raise the road approaches and build fence on both sides of the grid for traffic safety.
