Project description

The existing road surface is deteriorating through oxidation and aggregate loss, with cracking and pothole formation presenting a safety hazard and allowing water infiltration into the underlying pavement structure. Intermittent sections of kerb and channel are in poor condition as a result of street tree root intrusion lifting the kerb and localised pavement damage caused by repeated heavy vehicle (garbage truck) loading. Works comprise replacement of damaged kerb and channel sections, followed by reseal of the existing road surface with a new bituminous spray seal and cover aggregate, including pothole repairs and full pavement preparation prior to resurfacing, to prevent further pavement deterioration, preserve the road asset, and improve surface drainage.
