Tukara Road, South Penrith - 135643-25NSW-RTR
Tukara Road is an urban collector road which, according to Council records, was constructed circa 1977. The road has experienced numerous failures with rutting, crocodile cracking and heaving and has been repaired via heavy patching. Due to the age of the road and the increasing traffic volume it is suggested that the existing base materials and subgrade materials need to be replaced with formed stabilised materials with geotextile underlay where necessary. It is proposed to stabilise the subgrade and base materials using bitumen foam stabilisation and provide a 50 mm asphalt wearing surface. Below is a list of the works proposed to 220 m length of road by 10.2 m wide: 50 mm AC14 wearing surface 275 mm Foamed Bitumen Stabilised Base + Geogrid
Etty Bay Road, Etty Bay - 135612-25QLD-RTR
The existing one lane bridge will be removed and replaced with a two lane culvert to improve traffic flow and safety
Rugby Road, Dalton - 135654-25NSW-RTR
Problem being addressed is the poor roadside drainage, rutting and shifting of the road surface, and the loss of gravel surface which contributes to the poor wearing surface. Works proposed to be undertaken for this project is to rehabilitate 1.1 km of the road. This will involve drainage improvements and importing, spreading, shaping and compacting gravel and applying a bituminous seal to the newly rehabilitated road pavement.
