Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Midland Highway Safety Works Package - Epping Forest to Powranna
The project upgraded an appoximate 11 km section of the Midland Highway from Belle Vue Road at Epping Forest to Powranna Road. The upgrade included construction of additional sections of 2 + 1 lane arrangements to provide overtaking facilities, widening of the highway to include a central median incorporating a flexible safety barrier, provision of turning facilities and treatment of roadside hazards.
Armadale Road Duplication – Anstey Road to Tapper Road
The Project involves construction of a two-lane second carriageway for 6.96km of Armadale Road between Anstey Road and Tapper Road. The Project also includes upgrade works at three intersections; grade separation on Nicholson Road; construction of a principal shared path; street lighting and drainage; provision of two-metre sealed shoulders; as well as significant service relocations and associated works.
Gold Coast Light Rail - Stage 2
Construction of a 7.3km light rail system to extend the existing light rail from the Gold Coast University Hospital to connect with heavy rail network on the northern end of the Gold Coast at Helensvale, with new stations at Parkwood and Parkwood East and a new heavy/light rail interchange at Helensvale. The main features of the project are: - 7.3km light rail corridor from Helensvale heavy rail station adjacent to the Gold Coast Line, then adjacent to the Smith Street Motorway to connect with Stage 1 at the Gold Coast University Hospital light rail station - 3 new stations at Helensvale, Parkwood and Parkwood East, 160m bridge over Biggera Creek and 100m bridge over Coombaba Creek - 1,000 car space park ‘n’ ride facility at Parkwood station and a 400 space expoansion of the existing park ‘n’ ride facility at Helensvale station - Shared path adjacent to the rail track along Smith Street Motorway - New at-grade pedestrian crossings at the stations and across the intersection of Smith Street and Napper Road
Bruce Highway – Arnot Creek Bridge
The project involved the replacement of an existing single-span deteriorated bridge with a new single-span concrete bridge. The scope of the project comprised: Replacement of both the super-structure and sub-structure at the existing 19.95 metre long single-span concrete bridge with a 25 metre long single-span concrete bridge at approximately existing level Approximately 380 metres of pavement transition at approach roads either side Construction of a temporary side track to provide traffic with continued highway access during the construction phase
